David Laeha

About Us


The founder of CFO Hawaii is David Laeha. Mr Laeha has over 25 years of accounting and financial management experience. He graduated from the University of Hawaii in 1983 with High Honors and received his MBA in Accounting from USC in 1991. He is a licensed CPA in California and Hawaii through his consulting work at Arthur Andersen’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Laeha’s work experience includes over 13 years on the mainland in such cities as Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles. He spent 13 years working for Fortune 500 firms (GTE, Pacific Lighting, IBM and Arthur Andersen) and spent the last 12 years with smaller companies in Hawaii. Two of these companies (Hawaiian Natural Water Company and Cheap Tickets, Inc.) raised $9M and $50M respectively through initial public offerings (IPO) and $150M through secondary offerings. He also served as CFO of NetEnterprise (a full service technology company) and VP Finance for Hawaii Community Foundation ($265M non-profit grant making organization).
